Hello everyone, welcome to another episode of the Daily Gym. That's not how I normally start. For Monday, April 1st, 2024, I am a few hours late because I want to talk about new guests and a new feature. sure. So, last week I held two conversations with two people that I know quite well. The first one was Mary DeRate and the second one was Nancy Leutz.

Both of the conversations, I thought, went very well. Somewhat long. With Mary, it was over three three hours with Nancy. It was over two hours. And I am excited to do more episodes with guests. As much as I love this daily gym, I like to bring in more people and have more varied discussion and try to do it and, you know, experiment with different ways to do it. But whether right now it seems more like conversation, perhaps it'll go more towards interview at some point. But I like the lively dialogue where people are learning from each other. And so I have uploaded the episode with Mary Durate, Dr. Mary Durate. And so if you are listening to this one right now, you could jump into that one as well. Like I said, it is long. It is over three hours. Part of that is just the idea that scheduling can be hard. And so if we have the opportunity to speak, let us speak. Let the conversation go where it may. And if people want to listen, they can listen. And that leads me to the new feature, which is somewhat of a feature on many podcasts, but it's new to my podcast website.

The idea of chapters or show notes, my voice.

And with regards to chapters, I have made it so that if you go to the website, you go to jimcliver.com, you can, jimcliver.com slash show, you can click on one of the episodes. And when you're on the main page of the episode, you can click and look to see all the chapters and when you click on the uh the time like it's a link right next to the chapter title if you click on that time the audio file will jump to that time and so, especially with really long episodes i find this is a way for us to skip ahead, and jump to the things that may pique our interest and perhaps we want to listen to the whole thing, but sometimes we want to pick and choose where we start. So that took a while to code, thus me doing this episode past everyone's bedtime.

But I feel really excited about that new new feature because you know just in general I think taking a podcast or any type of product to the next level and bringing more people in brings more attention more eyeballs more than anything if I have a guest on the show I want them to feel proud of the link that they're sharing you know feel proud that they're on the show and they can share the link and it's got a nice image I worked on fixing that up today. It's a nice sharing image. And then when people get there, maybe they could see the different chapters and they can see the transcript and just try to make it a little more, again, if I'm a guest on somebody's show, I want to be really proud of the thing that I'm sharing instead of like, oh, gosh, look at this website. I mean, the episode's good, but the website is, uh. So trying to make the experience a little bit better. not only for me, but for the guests. And hopefully that translates to the people who are listening in the audience. That we all kind of feel a little bit proud or excited to share some of the links to. So, I don't know. I'm still new to this. I'm still playing around with it, and I think I will always be playing around with it. But I hope to play around more with the conversations and less with the website as oh as i'm tired as i'm as i would say in east africa i am tired me i'm tired.

Okay on that note i am definitely gonna sleep and i'll talk to you all tomorrow.
